Welcome!
The Raleigh Coin Club is the Triangle area's largest and longest-running coin club!
We got our start back in 1954 and have been going strong ever since!
But we're so much more than a group of coin collectors -- our members also collect paper money, medals, tokens and numismatic books! (There may even be a few stamp collectors amongst us!) We have beginning collectors, advanced collectors and collectors at every stage in between -- you'll never be "out of place" as a member of the Raleigh Coin Club.
North Carolina’s premier coin and money show!
June 26-28, 2026
Each year the Raleigh Coin Club organizes the Raleigh Money Expo. It attracts rare items from dealers from across the country and brings educational seminars, exhibits, a phenomenal Kid’s Zone, and more!
Upcoming Events
The Raleigh Coin Club meets the third Tuesday of each month. Our meetings are held in the Fellowship Hall of the Ridge Road Baptist Church, 2011 Ridge Road in west Raleigh just off I-440 beltline exit 5. [Get Directions]
The meetings start at 7:30pm and generally adjorn about 9:30pm. The doors to the meeting room open at 7:00pm and many members arrive early to start "talkin' coins" before the meeting begins.
Our Young Numismatists program the Raleigh Coin Hawks designed specifically for young collectors and their parents will begin at 6:30pm and last about an hour. The Coin Hawks meeting will be very informal, and will give each young collector who attends a chance to ask questions about coin or paper money collecting, pass around and talk about a piece or two from their own collection and learn about coin collecting in a non-threatening forum.
Each meeting features:
An educational program
An opportunity for show-n-tell (many an exciting rarity has been brought in and put on display!)
Good conversation with fellow collectors
Member door prizes
Complementary refreshments
We look forward to personally welcoming you as a member of the Raleigh Coin Club at our next meeting!
Our Mission
We are a non-profit organization whose by-laws dictate that we work at advancing the science of numismatics. With this in mind we are keenly interested in doing activities that promote the hobby in the community. We sponsor an annual Coin Show, usually near the middle of June, where the membership is encouraged to put together educational exhibits, meet the collecting community that attends, and help answer collector's questions at our club table. We are developing plans to make the Raleigh Coin Club a force in the hobby. If you want to get more involved in the hobby we again encourage you to join us.
We look forward to personally welcoming you as a member of the Raleigh Coin Club at our next meeting!
