3 October 2020 William "Bill" Graves honored with 2020 Ted Hendrick Memorial Dealer Award
The Ted Hendrick Memorial Dealer Award, jointly sponsored by the Raleigh Coin Club and the NCNA, was presented to William "Bill" Graves. Bill doing business as R & B Numismatics has been a fixture at North Carolina coin shows for decades. Bill is always will to educate and has been active in the Winston-Salem Coin Club as well as the NCNA.

5 October 2019 Dot Hendrick honored with 2019 Ted Hendrick Memorial Dealer Award
The Ted Hendrick Memorial Dealer Award, jointly sponsored by the Raleigh Coin Club and the NCNA, was presented to Dot Hendrick. Dot has run commercial coin shows several times a year in Charlotte and Raleigh for decades before retiring this year. Dot has been a fixture in North Carolina numismatics for longer than most members of the NCNA and RCC can remember.

The Raleigh Coin Club (RCC) hosted an American Numismatic Association School of Numismatics educational seminar titled "Coin Grading, Problem Coins & Conservation" November 9-10, 2018.
The biggest mistake collectors and dealers make is buying coins they shouldn't have purchased in the first place - coins that have grade, surface or conservation issues that they didn't see. This 2-day seminar helped students avoid costly mistakes by developing their grading skills and teaching them to spot a wide variety of issues. To learn more click here.
6 October 2018 Jim Neely honored with 2018 Ted Hendrick Memorial Dealer Award
The Ted Hendrick Memorial Dealer Award, jointly sponsored by the Raleigh Coin Club and the NCNA, was presented to Jim Neely. Jim was recognized for his fair and ethical treatment of his customers as well as for his work with, support and Presidency of the NCNA and his founding and leadership of the Fuquay-Varina Coin Club.
3 June 2018 Millions of Dollars of Rare Coins and Currency from Around the World Coming to the NC Fairgrounds June 8-9-10
North Carolina's largest coin, paper money and stamp show is coming to the State Fairgrounds in Raleigh on Friday, Saturday and Sunday June 8, 9 and 10. Millions of dollars of rare and historic coins, colorful paper money and classic stamps from the United States and countries around the world will be on display in the Exposition Center.
The Expo will feature over 160 tables with dealers coming from up and down the east coast and as far west as California. Show guests can buy and sell collectible coins, paper money and stamps, as well as buy and sell gold, silver and other precious metals; dealers will also be available to offer quick appraisals. The show offers something for collectors of all levels, with collectibles starting at prices less than $1.00 and extending to those valued at thousands of dollars.To read more click here.
3 May 2018 Raleigh Coin Club to Host Food Drive to Benefit Western Wake Crisis Ministry at Annual Raleigh Money ExpoTM
The Raleigh Coin Club (RCC) will be conducting a food drive at its annual coin and currency show to benefit the Western Wake Crisis Ministry (WWCM) of Apex. The WWCM is in the midst of its "Summer Stock-Up" drive to collect non-perishable food items, household products and hygiene items for families in need within the community. The Raleigh Coin Club (RCC) hosted an American Numismatic Association School of Numismatics educational seminar titled "Introduction to Counterfeit Detection" October 18-19
This hands-on seminar will look at the various types of counterfeits produced and how to authenticate them. From cast fakes and electrtypes to various high quality struck counterfeits, students will learn the diagnostics to spot the fakes and characteristics found on genuine specimens. 1 October 2017 Danny Freeman Honored with 2017 Ted Hendrick Memorial Dealer Award
The Ted Hendrick Memorial Dealer Award, jointly sponsored by the Raleigh Coin Club and the NCNA, was presented to Danny Freeman. 10 September 2016 Tom Wood Honored with 2016 Ted Hendrick Memorial Dealer Award<
The NCNA, in conjunction with the Raleigh Coin Club (RCC), presented the 2016 Ted Hendrick Memorial Dealer Award to Tom Wood. Tom has been a collector for over 40 years and a dealer for the past 15. He is a regular presence on the NC show circuit and also maintains an online coin business. Tom is an education-focused dealer who is always willing to share his knowledge with anyone who approaches his table. He is also a frequent speaker on numismatic topics with a focus on coins of the Bible; giving talks to numismatic audiences as well as “general public†audiences at schools, civic organizations and fraternal clubs.

3 October 2015 Barry Ciociola Honored with 2015 Ted Hendrick Memorial Dealer Award
The Ted Hendrick Memorial Dealer Award was presented to Barry Ciociola; the award is given to a dealer who has made positive long-term contributions to numismatics beyond the operation of a coin business. Barry was recognized for his leadership roles in state and regional organizations (NCNA, Blue Ridge Numismatic Association), his efforts in starting multiple coin clubs, his long-term promotion of coin shows in North Carolina and surrounding states and his content contributions to multiple hobby publications

11 August 2014 Halbert Carmichael Wins ANA's Glenn Smedley Award
Raleigh Coin Club (RCC) member Halbert Carmichael received two distinct honors at the just completed 2014 American Numismatic Association (ANA) World's Fair of MoneySM show in Chicago. 25 July 2014 Raleigh Money ExpoTM Draws 2,000 Attendees
The three-day Expo, held at the Exposition Center on the North Carolina State Fairgrounds, enjoyed a total attendance of just over 2,000 with more than 1,000 registrations on Saturday alone. (Note: Attendance figures do not include dealers taking part in the bourse.) This year's attendance was up more than 20% over 2013; the annual show has seen an increase in attendance of at least 15% in each of the last three years. To read more click here.

15 March 2014 Raleigh Coin Club Takes Part in Reed Gold Mine Opening of Blackbeard Exhibit
Members of the Raleigh Coin Club (RCC) traveled to the Reed Gold Mine (RGM) in Midland, NC on Saturday, February 22nd to attend the official ribbon-cutting ceremonies and opening of "Blackbeard's Queen Anne's Revenge: 1718," a traveling exhibit prepared by the North Carolina Maritime Museums in conjunction with the NC Department of Cultural Resources. 5 October 2002 Mickey Smith Honored with Inaugural Ted Hendrick Memorial Dealer Award
With the support of the Raleigh Coin Club, the North Carolina Numismatic Association has instituted a new award, the Ted Hendrick Memorial Award, for the dealer who best helps the hobby by his work as a dealer. The 2002 winner is Mikey Smith of the Coin SHop in Spring Lake, North Carolina. The award was presented by Dot Hendrick.
